Central Men in the Morning

All men of Central are invited to join us Tuesday mornings from 6:30-7:30am in the Conference Room, located in the church offices. This meeting is based on a book of the Bible and meets year round.

Sisters in Christ

Continues to meet throughout the year- we don't take a break!  We meet on Tuesday mornings from 9am - 11am in room 204.  Free childcare from infant thru preschool. Our current study is Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.  We welcome new gals anytime.

Going Deeper

The sermon each week gives us just a taste of God’s message for us. Join Carness as he ‘goes deeper’ into the scriptures, history and meaning that illumines the scripture. Room 200, 5:00- 5:45pm 

 

Mens Bible Study

The Men of Central, Wednesday evening study group will be studying “Winning at Work and Home”, a 16-session study, that focuses on the two areas that are central to a man's life: career and family. It will begin to build the walls of manhood through study dealing with a man's chief responsibilities. It explores how a man can enjoy and engage his work and how he can relate to a woman in a whole new way. This is part of the Men’s Fraternity series. Room 202, 6:30-8:00pm.

Mom’s Ministry

Beginning January 12th , Jann Bridgers will be leading "The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts" by Dr. Gary Chapman. This 8 week study will teach us how we can understand our own and our spouse's love language in our marriage to effectively and consistently make each other feel truly and deeply loved. That gift never fades away. Room 204, 9:00-11:00am~

Morning Womens Bible Study

Join the Thursday Morning Women's Bible Study from 9:15-11:15 am for our Winter study, beginning January 12!!!

We will be studying James: Mercy, Triumphs by Beth Moore, which is her newest study.  This interactive study features seven weeks of personal, daily assignments and eight weekly group sessions with video.  James forces us to face the implications of faith.  Participants will be inspired to put their faith into action in practical ways.  We will explore the concepts of joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, single-mindedness, the tongue, humility, prayer and more. Facilitated by Caren Parks in the Holy Word Theater (209), 9:15-11:15am

Evening Womens Bible Study

No Other Gods – confronting our modern-day idols by Kelly Minter. This is an 8 week journey that makes room for God by confronting the modern-day idols that clutter and claim our hearts.  We will take a holistic approach to Scripture and discover God in the midst. Beginning Sunday, January 8th, 2012, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in Room 202 at CUMC. Traditionally, we have not met on Super Bowl Sunday so our last class will be March 4 (or March 11th if we have to make up a class that is canceled due to bad weather conditions).  Please purchase your book before class begins and read Chapter 1.  Led by Vicki Mansker & Vivian Dunnaway  contact Vivian with any questions at 531.0494

 

Becoming a Contagious Christian

This DVD based course is a proven resource designed to equip believers for relational evangelism. Over one million people have experiences this six-session course that helps show ordinary believers how to share the gospel in natural and effective ways while being the person God made them to be. 4:30—5:30 in room 200 January 15 until February  19.
